Your business can be as automated as they come. But all the technology in the world can’t compete with a personal show of gratitude. 

As a matter of fact, a personal touch is what’s missing in the world of business. Small businesses are hustling to make numbers and meet deadlines that the customer that is keeping them in business end up getting neglected.

It’s true when they say it’s more expensive to accrue new customers than it is nurturing current ones. A “thank you for your service” can go a long way. Especially in the way that it is carried out.

The necessity for a personal Thank You. 

Everybody is looking for loyalty. After all, why go with your business when your customer can have their pick? Showing your gratitude in a personal way makes your customer feel valued. And when done the right can provide your business up to 10% of revenue increase.

The best way to say Thank You. 

The phrase “It’s not what you say but how you say it” couldn’t be further from the truth. Some more personal ways to thank them would be via letter, note or email. If you want to take it a step further, sending them a handwritten letter would go a long way. 

A great gesture that’s trending is creating postcards or notes and inserting them in the package of the products they purchased. It makes the delivery experience a  more personal one. It offers the “checkout” experience that they lost when making their purchases online. 

The thank you that earned you a customer for life.

While it’s important to cultivate organization and process, it’s also necessary to slow down and go back to basics. Taking the time to create an experience for your client in the way of a personal note, email or letter can generate a customer that will always come to you with their needs.
